Role Overview Venesky Brown is seeking a Project Manager to join a large-scale nuclear new build project in East Anglia.
As a Project Manager in the Enabling & Earthworks team, you will work closely with the supply chain, design, and quality teams, as well as key suppliers, to support the project's delivery phase.
The project will involve a broad range of construction and engineering activities, such as: Enabling and Earthworks : Sea defenses, access facilities, excavation, earthworks, and site preparation.
Tunneling and Marine Works : Installation of intake and outfall tunnels for plant cooling systems, plus marine structures.
Main Civil Engineering Works : Foundation base slab, cooling system pipework, and construction of large nuclear plant buildings.
Key Responsibilities As Project Manager, you will: Oversee project Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs) with a focus on design replication and preparation for contract awards.
Ensure timely delivery of engineering studies and manage the integration of design changes specific to this site.
Manage both internal and external project interfaces to ensure a cohesive approach.
Engage stakeholders and suppliers early to pre-empt potential issues.
Lead procurement processes and support multidisciplinary teams to prepare construction and manufacturing contracts.
Champion knowledge capture, applying lessons learned throughout project phases.
Essential Skills & Experience 5 years minimum project management experience within civils or major projects Have a degree/degree equivalent in civils/project management/engineering Excellent stakeholder management skills The ability to work across multiple teams and communicate effectively whilst working to tight deadlines This is a dynamic role within a significant infrastructure project, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a major development in nuclear energy.
