Job Description Package Manager - Construction \n Length: 2 years minumum \n Location: Site is in Plymouth - travel once every 6 weeks.
\n \n ***Candidates MUST be eligible for SC Clearance*** \n The Major Infrastructure Projects directorate provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programmes.
As a Package Manager - Buildings you'll work with multi-discipline infrastructure system designs to provide an overall sustainment capability improving the buildings capability at Devonport.
\n Using your experience in design projects you will manage the delivery and verification of the design.
You will work with users and other stakeholders to ensure that the integrated facility provides the required capability.
You will use your project management expertise to ensure the end product meets the technical and operational requirements of the facility.

\n Main Purpose of Role \n \n Responsible for ensuring the project management delivery of the design of multiple building packages.
\n This is a key role responsible to manage the delivery of the new Buildings Designs from the design Consultants to the Contractor and through the approval process.
\n Support in delivery of schedule, scope, contractual, financial and risk management functions.
\n Assisting the technical and project team in development of requirements, project scope and solutions for specific work packages.
\n Translate supply chain reporting into useable data to inform planning, monitoring and control of work packages.
\n Provide input to cost and budget monitoring.
\n Develop Stakeholder management and communications plans.
\n Document & Deliverable management \n \n Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences \n \n The candidate must have experience of working within a project environment managing designs packages, ideally with client side NEC4 contract experience \n Knowledge of highly regulated environments (preferably Nuclear) and complex document management systems.
\n Managing the design of highly complex multifunctional buildings, such as hospitals or similar, through RIBA stages 2 - 4.
\n The project will be on the Nuclear Licensed site and therefore experience in delivery of Nuclear safety implicated structures, equipment or services would be of benefit.
\n \n Qualifications \n A Bachelors or Master's Degree.
\n \n APM project management qualification (or equivalent).
\n NEC4 Accredited Project Manager (desired) \n \n A range of specific courses will be provided, such as the following; \n \n Site Induction \n Fire Safety \n Diversity \n Anti-bribery \n Data Protection \n \n
