Job DescriptionThe job:Navartis are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager for a specialist Contractor operating in the UK.
This main focus of this role will be to manage contracts with a perticular focus on safety, quality and productivity by ensuring contracts perform in line with budgets and maintain an effective and concious workforce.Key responsibilities include:Ensuring safe working practice of site operations, including implementation of procedures to remove site/safety hazardsLiaise with estimators and review tenders - optimising solutions and assist in delivering efficient methodologyDevelop relationships with clients - fully understanding requirements, act as a key point of contact to drive future businessUndertake efficient management of operatives to maximise productivity - including sub contractorsManage employee relations and practices related to training, abscence, discipline and continuous developmentEnsure all costings for site are managed properly - production of interim/final applications for payment in accordance with deadlinesManage instrumentation packages, read technical specifications ensuring they meet requirementsThe ideal candidate:Previous experience within the civil engineering, geotechnical or build contracts environmentDegree education in a related field such as civil engineering or geology would be desireablePrior exposure to managing teams of various sizes and disciplinesProof of valid CSCS card is a requirementPrevious commercial exposure would be highly beneficial to this roleStrong communication skills across a variety of formats, to deal with various contacts both internal and externalThe package:Competitve salary (up to £65,000)Company car/car allowanceCompany bonus scheme26 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
