Projects are based in Inverness, Caithness and Sutherland, where site presence is required.Salary: £55,200 - £83,000 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | options available.We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join the SSEN Transmission Capital Delivery team and lead one of our critical Overhead Line projects in the construction phase in order to support Scotland's Net Zero ambitions.
Our has 4 discrete schemes, with 1 scheme based around Inverness for which we are actively recruiting for:Beauly to Spittal - The key responsibilities involved include:- Leading the SSE team and managing multiple external contractors, to ensure project excellence is achieved and we deliver on our promises.- Managing the development and execution of large capital projects, ensuring the safe delivery to programme, cost and the necessary quality.- Ensuring the project adheres to our Safety Management Systems, best practices and the SSE Large Capital Projects (LCP) Governance processes.- Demonstrate alignment with the SSE Safety culture and core values.What do I need?- A strong project management, engineering or construction background and understanding of applicable health and safety regulations including CDM regulations.- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a?proven track record in the successful delivery of large projects.- Contractual management experience (NEC3 experience is preferable), with the ability to forecast and control costs as well as develop and manage integrated project programmes.- Due to the location of our projects, there is a need to have a driving licence and, for delivery focussed roles, a willingness to travel to site and be on site for 2-3 days a week during construction.- Experience managing large electricity transmission projects would be great but, experience in managing major projects from other industries, coupled with the desire and ability to learn quickly is equally valid.About our BusinessAt , we take immense pride in owning and operating the high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland.
