Project Manager - Data Centres - In-House Environment - Mission Critical - Mechanical Global Client / Career Development / £70,000 Plus Bonus 10%, Car Allowance salary sacrifice, Career development, Mainly UK but occasional EMEA - GREAT OPPORTUNITY We are currently recruiting for a Data Centre Engineering Mechanically biased Project Site Manager across the UK with Occasional EMEA Travel.
You will support the DC Services division in overseeing project activities across multiple sites, ensuring contractors are carrying out work safely and productively and achieving project completions in line with our clients' expectations.
Responsibilities Provide sub-contractor supervision and support to all Project Managers across multiple concurrent work streams.
Project delivery and management of all clients ' works (in the white space) including suite fit-out, cages, and smaller ad hoc jobs across both the hyper-scale and enterprise sectors Provide supervision as required in multiple site locations.
Primarily Hertfordshire, Essex, and Berkshire, and for some roles EMEA Liaise between the working parties and the Project Managers and assist in problem-solving and facilitating the smooth delivery of the project.
Liaise with the on-site facilities and operational teams to manage isolations, access, and compliance Review Liaise and manage multiple sub-contractors to deliver projects to a high standard, within scope, on time, and to budget & understand contractor Risk Assessments and method Statements ensuring that they are adhered to by working parties.
Implement and complete the Method of procedure documents (MOP's) ensuring the work follows the approved procedures.
Carry out Dynamic Risk Assessments at the point of work and deliver H&S Toolbox talks as required.
Ensure all work carried out is in line with the company Health and safety policies with no exceptions, carry out monitoring, and record results throughout the works.
Ensure the quality of work carried out by sub-contractors meets the technical standards set by the company and ensure sub-contractor performance is captured.
Issue and manage permits to work and work at height permit.
Complete and compile project paperwork and upload it to the company SharePoint platform.
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
Assist the project manager in monitoring progress against the project program Collaborate with other technical departments concerning design, cost, and drawing requirements Complete and issue update reporting where required.
Implementation of site inspections/audits and completion of the relevant checklists.
Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure high standards are achieved.
Management of snagging where required.
Undertake site inductions where required.
Ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
Carry out any other duties relevant to the position and running of the company that may be requested of you.
Demonstrable experience in delivering successful projects in the Data Center space Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in Data Center White Space Fit Outs Has a sound knowledge of Data Center M&E infrastructure PRINCE II/PMP certification or similar · Requirements: 5+ years' experience in sub-contractor supervision in the industry.
Good working knowledge and practical experience of Health and safety at work regulations & and requirements.
Good level of English language (both written and verbal).
Technical background, with preferred understanding or hands-on experience working in Data Centres.
Knowledge of Data Centre M&E infrastructure is preferred.
Hold a valid CSCS Card.
(Desirable) Hold a valid SMSTS Card.
Possess a clean UK driving license and be willing to travel domestically as required.
Undergo security vetting as required.
We are ideally looking for applicants who have a proven track record within a project capacity and come from either a Critical Engineering / Pharmaceutical/manufacturing / Production or construction projects background.
Must have great organizational skills and be capable of dealing with global tech clients, customers, specialist contractors, and internal colleagues
