About the Company: Our client is a well-established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the UK.
They are currently seeking a Freelance Project Manager to oversee civils packages, including groundworks and steel frame, on a project in Gloucestershire.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the civils packages, including groundworks and steel frame, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Coordinate with sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor and control project costs, making sure the work stays within the allocated budget.
Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to on-site.
Provide regular project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication with all parties to mitigate potential risks and resolve issues promptly.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones are achieved on time.
Oversee quality control to ensure that the work meets or exceeds the expected standards.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Project Manager on civils projects, specifically groundworks and steel frame.
Strong understanding of site management and construction processes.
Ability to manage multiple contractors and liaise with stakeholders effectively.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications.
Previous experience working for a main contractor is essential.
Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
