Job Title: Project Manager – Software Development Focus Contract Type: Permanent Location: Edinburgh Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based Closing date: 3rd February 2025 We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Development focused Project Manager to join our Edinburgh office working within our brand-new flagship pensions platform Think Beyond.
Within this role you will own an area of functionality as a squad lead and be instrumental in driving forward large-scale software focused transformations, with clear ownership within your area of expertise.
Due to the nature of the role, a background within financial services or Pensions would be highly beneficial About the role Lead a squad within a complex and highly structured organisation, driving forward transformation projects across the software arena.
Provide leadership to the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones Articulate and demonstrate business acumen around cost and the impact on profitability Define and agree required level of project resource needed for successful project delivery Manage risks and issues, understanding a wider risk context associated with the business and the delivery ? Build a collaborative, commercial relationship with 3rd parties to manage costs and maximise value ? Implement appropriate level of Governance in-line with Group methods Cost control on the project and?understanding the impact this has on Group-wide financial?performance and value to the customer ? About you A strong proven background of delivering large scale Software Development focused projects within a matrix style organisation Working experience in project management delivering both business and technical change initiatives Experience of Agile delivery practices Knowledge of the full Software Development Delivery Lifecycle The ability to solve and unblock issues within teams or departments ?
