Main duties of the job As an Estates and Facilities Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a range of capital construction and minor works projects across the Trust.
This includes managing projects from initial feasibility through to design, implementation, and handover, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, technical standards, and NHS capital procurement guidance.
A key aspect of the role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.You will also provide expert advice on building and engineering solutions, manage project risks, and ensure robust governance throughout the project lifecycle.
By fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, you will align projects with the Trust's strategic goals and ensure minimal disruption to patient services.
Additionally, you will oversee technical training for Estates maintenance staff, contribute to long-term capital investment plans, and ensure adherence to sustainability principles.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical engineering related discipline.
Experience of direct management and control of a wide range of multidisciplinary teams of construction professionals and contractors Experience in managing specialist engineering services within building projects, High Voltage; Medical Gas etc Working knowledge of health & safety legislation and technical standards within construction industry Experience Essential Experience of managing a team to achieve delivery of planned benefits Experience of successfully developing collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders Experience of working within the NHS in a similar role Experience of working in a demanding environment with many, sometimes conflicting priorities Skills Essential Computer literate to include Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint Good communication skills both written (complex report writing) and orally including advanced formal presentation / facilitation skills Degree of accuracy and attention to detail
