Join us as a Project Manager and make an invaluable contribution to our Food Safety & Biosecurity!As the Project Manager for England Ecosystem Services project, you will play the leading role managing the delivery of work and in managing the 5 staff supporting the running of the project.
You will be accountable for the successful (scientifically and financially) and efficient delivery of the project, directing and mentoring colleagues as appropriate.What you'll be doing:Lead on Natural England and Defra projects taking accountability of delivery milestonesDeveloping project plans, maintaining risk and RAID logsLead on regular cadence calls and communication, including regular reporting for stakeholdersProvide management and leadership to a small team of survey coordinatorsManage relationship with sub-contractors, negotiating timelines and costingsEnsuring projects are running on time, and to budget, flagging risks where appropriateDevelop and maintain contingency plansLead on problem resolution and continuous improvementMentor colleagues to contribute to the development of their project management skills.Contributing to the development of Fera's strategic growth plan by using your project management skills to collaborate with scientists in developing  persuasive, accurately costed proposals with robust project plans.What we're looking for:You'll have demonstrable experience as an established project manager with a track record of successfully delivering projects to time and budget. Leadership and/or team management experience.
