PROJECT MANAGER - DATA CENTRES / PHARMACEUTICAL CONSTRUCTION M&E Specialist Suitable for those with: Data Centre / Life Science / Industrial / Commercial build project experience Location: London - hybrid Role: The Project/Construction Manager is responsible for managing the Design and Construction of agreed Data Centre or Pharmaceutical offerings and associated infrastructure to the agreed budget and programme; including – procurement, budget allocation, supply chain management, delivery culture, contract admin, construction risk management, health and safety compliance, commissioning, certification and IST.
Areas of responsibility include but not limited to: Responsible for budgetary and programme control over complex projects.
Quality: Ensuring site project works including internal and contractor works meet design specifications and are carried out according to quality management procedures.
Sets up and manages support functions covering planning, tracking, reporting, quality management and internal communication.
Produces consolidated reporting to the Head of Construction, including milestone summary, key issues, risks, benefits, summary of costs incurred.
Reviews project activities for compliance with procedures and standards.
Stakeholder management across all parties (Interface with Clients, Architects, Designers and Contractors) to ensure a high performing project management team and supply chain that delivers the construction projects to agreed budgets and programmes.
Identification and notification of technical and commercial risks associated with site works Safety: Ensuring site project work is carried out according to safety policy and procedures.
Managing and leading the project team.
Recruiting project staff and consultants.
Managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work.
Roles & Responsibilities: Detailed project planning and control including: Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan.
Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan.
Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary.
Resolving cross-functional issues at project level.
Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary.
Monitoring project progress and performance.
Providing status reports to the Head of Construction.
Managing project training within the defined budget.
Managing project evaluation and dissemination activities.
Managing consultancy input within the defined budget.
Final approval of the design specification.
Working closely with users to ensure the project meets business needs.
Definition and management of the system certification and IST programme.
Identifying user training needs and devising and managing user training programmes.
