Job Title: Project Manager – Controls, testing, and assurance
Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension
Location: 8 Canada Square, London – 3 to 4 days a week
Pay Rate: Umbrella: £770.59 – Inside IR35
Overview: We are seeking highly skilled SME consultants with expertise in controls, testing, and assurance to join our team.
This role focuses on addressing and improving material controls in both financial and non-financial domains, consolidating existing processes, and delivering tangible outcomes.
The ideal candidates will combine deep SME knowledge with consultancy experience and the ability to execute and deliver in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities: Provide SME expertise in controls, testing, and assurance.
Focus on controls-related aspects, rather than technical/IT issues, to drive material outcomes.
Consolidate existing controls by reducing approximately 1,000 poorly defined controls into a streamlined set of fewer than 200 robust material controls.
Develop and implement clear, actionable strategies to achieve measurable improvements.
Ensure material controls align with industry standards, combining 5–6 smaller controls into comprehensive, effective controls.
Shape ambiguous requirements into tangible deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Desired Skills and Experience: Demonstrable SME knowledge in controls, testing, and assurance.
Proven consultancy experience with a focus on delivering tangible outcomes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in refining and consolidating control frameworks.
Exceptional ability to execute under pressure and deliver results in challenging environments.
