Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where YOU can help support the FM division as a plumbing and heating engineer.
Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, our UK based organisation comprises of several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works and other associated trades.
Position Using drawings and specifications to produce competitive tenders.
Taking off quantities off drawings/specifications/bills of quantities.
Producing complete estimates up to £2M using estimating software.
Ensuring that all bids submitted are correct and commercially accurate.
Producing tender packages for subcontractors and reviewing returned documents.
Involvement in finalisation and adjudication of tenders including value engineering suggestions.
Production of Schedule of Rates for each successful tender.
Liaising with the Project Management team to review tender documents.
Provide necessary clarification on proposed attendances, contract terms to limit commercial risk.
Ensuring all roles and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with business IMS procedures.
As required represent the company in negotiations and meetings.
Site surveys and attend internal project handover meetings.
Assist and support project management teams and processes.
Compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and legislation.
Preparation of management projects report for management teams.
Ensure that successful bids are handed over to PMs, ensuring their full understanding of the project.
Identify risks and opportunities within a tender.
Understand your responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of your team and the wider group, whilst promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout.
Promote and live BJF TEAMS values.
Requirements Estimator experience within fabric and builds Knowledge and experience of pricing minor mechanical and electrical items within the tenders.
