Project Engineer (Electrical) Port Talbot £38k - £48k + benefits package Our client are looking for people to help build the largest Electric Arc Furnace in the world.

The Role: Working as part of a team that is driving engineering excellence, you'll collaborate with range of diverse stakeholders to develop and safely build the electric arc furnace.
You will create project plans and proposals that will support and improve the business.
You'll oversee all stages of projects that are assigned to you, from initial concept, through execution to final acceptance, ensuring all work meets the relevant standards and guidelines from a design, safety and environmental standpoint.
You will support by drafting technical specifications and requests for quotations from OEMs and contractor partners.
Your role involves the overseeing of project engineering activities to ensure the area you are responsible for is completed on time and to budget, safely and to the designed standard.
Manage and deliver fully all allocated projects and assist others where necessary.
This includes all relevant project phases such as concept, proposal, feasibility study, design, build, test, installation, commissioning, training, documentation, handover and final acceptance.
Ensure that all work conforms to the relevant standards and guidance.
This includes all the lifecycle phases such as design, specification, installation, maintenance and decommissioning.
Provide the required professional technical input and represent the area in dealings with other sites and the Competent Authority.
Participate in a best endeavor call out system and provide a reasonable amount of plant support outside normal working hours for shutdowns, start-ups, improvement work and fault correction.
Organize, facilitate and document safety studies such as risk assessments, HAZOP and FMEA.
The Candidate: Have knowledge of project management techniques and the ability to communicate well with personnel at all levels.
Have knowledge of risk assessment and safety study techniques.
High level of engineering competency (Electrical/Mechanical as required) including project management and financial control.
Should possess good statistical, analytical and computing skills and have good communication and report writing skills.
Ideally resides locally to the area and drives Degree qualified in engineering (preferred) Experience in the steel industry at an appropriate level (preferred) The Package: A market competitive salary We can provide specific project management training, and support in becoming a chartered project professional.
