Your key duties Leadership of the Portfolio Office Delivery Support Team, providing vision and direction to a team of P3M specialists.
Provide a 'Front Door' function between the Portfolio Office and wider Met Office, ensuring seamless support to the project delivery profession including, but not limited to, change management, quality management, assurance and deployable project support.
Ownership of the Met Office Project Delivery maturity plan.
Demonstrate and Communicate Portfolio Office value.
Proactive stakeholder management.
Continuous Improvement of Portfolio Office process, tools and ways of working.

As our Job Title, your total reward package will be up to £72,530 annually, which includes: £52,799 base pay An outstanding Civil Service pension, with an average employer contribution of 27% Annual Leave starting at 27.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) rising to 32.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) after 5 years and option to buy or sell up to 5 days per year of annual leave Essential Criteria, skills and experience: Demonstrable leadership skills, including the ability to direct or influence as required.
Good understanding of P3M and evidence of supporting multiple projects / programmes, including planning, resources, finances, risks and benefits in a portfolio setting.
Excellent planning skills, demonstrable at the tactical, operational and strategic levels.
Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of successful engagement with stakeholders.
Proven ability to prioritise a challenging workload with excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Proven ability to work well in a high performing, collaborative team, supporting and developing yourself and others.
