Job Type: PermanentLocation: This role could be based in either our Birmingham or Edinburgh offices with time spent working in the office and at home.
Flexible working: All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility.

The roleAs a Project Actuary you will form part of the ERM Development team within Open Actuarial Reporting and Change.
The team is responsible for the onboarding, securitisation and delivery of change relating to ERM into BAU reporting, along with responsibility for delivery of a regular suite of MI, regulatory and BAU obligations to a number of areas of the business relating to this asset class.In this role you will become an expert on the ERM business within Phoenix, and provide support to a wide range of stakeholders explaining financial impacts, project and business readiness implications, along with regulatory interactions.
As you develop subject matter expertise you will have opportunity to work with key stakeholders throughout the business on a key strategic asset class.Using your extensive mix of technical skills, organisational, change and communication skills you will work closely with all members of the ERM development team, the Structuring and Actuarial team responsible for ERM methodologies and assumptions, and with the Balance sheet and Capital reporting teams within the finance functions.What are we looking for?We are looking for a qualified or newly qualified Actuary (Associate or Fellow of the IFoA) who is looking for an interesting, exciting opportunity to work in a growth business area for an FTSE company.
Experience in Actuarial Reporting & Change Proven ability to pick up new technical concepts quickly.
Proven experience of driving continuous improvement Overall you must have excellent communication skills, be highly proactive and be able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Equity Release Mortgage knowledge is highly desirable.
Solvency II reporting knowledge is highly desirable.
