An exciting opportunity has arisen to join New College Swindon as we seek to recruit two Progress Coaches to join the team.
Location: North Star and Queens Drive Campuses Salary: £22,176-£23,380 PA Job Type: 37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) About Us: New College Swindon is a vibrant and dynamic institution, formed by the merger of New College and Swindon College.

Progress Coach - The Role: To provide pastoral support and mentoring to a case load of students via group and 121 review sessions in order to identify and overcome barriers to achievement and develop their wider social and employability skills.
New College Swindon is hiring for two positions and is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team!
Progress Coach - Key Responsibilities: As a Progress Coach some of your responsibilities will include: - To act as a Progress Coach to a designated number of learners, working closely with - Curriculum Managers and teaching staff as learners' advocates to support the successful completion of their journey through monitoring progress and performance - To support learners' induction, performance, progress and progression - To be responsible for a caseload of learners, and to work with them in tutorial groups, smaller focused sessions and 121 - To deliver the mandatory tutorial plan for the caseload of learners allocated - To check and monitor student attendance within their caseload, working closely with curriculum teams, CMs and intervention coaches to improve attendance, in line with college policy - To respond promptly where barriers to learning are identified by carrying out proactive intervention strategies, referring learners to relevant support where required and monitoring their progress and altering actions to ensure success Progress Coach - You: - Minimum of Level 3 qualification in youth work, teaching, training or a related discipline or be willing to work towards - Minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy - Prepared to complete any internally accredited training to support the effectiveness of the role - Knowledge of Safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults - Experience of working with young people in educational or other settings - Experience of writing accurate documentation suitable for referrals (parent, student, colleagues, external bodies) - Effective interpersonal skills showing sensitivity and leadership within appropriate boundaries and guidelines Progress Coach - Benefits: - 5.5 weeks holiday paid in salary - 21.7% College pension contribution to LGPS - Health care cash plan - Free car parking - Discounted Hair & Beauty - On-site gym - Staff development & training - Sodexo Retail Discount Scheme - And more!
