Programme Manager Construction

We are seeking an experienced Construction/Civils Programme Manager to oversee and coordinate a Master Program of works, projects, and resource requirements for a busy Contracting Division.
This role will ensure seamless project planning, budget forecasting, and effective resource management, with a focus on NEC Contract standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Program Leadership : Lead and coordinate the Master Program of works across all projects requiring resource support.
Target Program Development : Provide operational staff with accurate programming guidance and target programs.
Consistency in Programming : Ensure alignment with NEC Contract standards across the business.
Financial Forecasting : Develop, facilitate, and monitor financial cost profiling to measure performance against time and budget.
Resource Management : Monitor and manage resource allocation and capacity, with early identification of potential issues.
Critical Path Awareness : Work closely with Planners to ensure all programs are developed with a clear understanding of critical paths, float, and opportunities to prioritize profit and mitigate risks.
Risk Register Management : Oversee and assign ownership of project risk registers, ensuring active management.
Resource Allocation Oversight : Coordinate scheduling and planning for all works within Infrastructure Operations.
Programming Support : Provide programming assistance for operational teams, specifically for NEC/JCT contracts.
Software Proficiency : Lead training and management of specialized programming software to optimize project delivery.
Customer Communication : Actively engage in customer liaison, ensuring timely updates to all relevant parties.
Change Impact Management : Ensure project programs reflect compensation events, client instructions, and changes, working with Commercial teams to justify time and cost adjustments.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with Operations to meet planning team resource requirements.
Compliance and Confidentiality : Adhere to relevant legislation and confidentiality standards, including Health and Safety and Data Protection policies.
Requirements: Proven experience in program management within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
Advanced proficiency in project management software.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
A strategic mindset with a focus on maximizing profitability and minimizing risk.
