Provide leadership, supervision and support to all staff and participants to maximize human dignity, community integration, and opportunities for self-direction.
Essential Job Functions- Oversee daily operations to assigned area in accordance with the agency¿s policies and procedures and applicable regulations.- Hire, supervise, evaluate, and train Day Habilitation and Community Based Day Services (CBDS) staff.
Conduct annual performance evaluations of employees under your supervision.
Address performance issues proactively and in line with agency Policy.
Conduct routinely scheduled individual supervisions with assigned staff.- Provide training and support to staff.
Ensure staff have current mandatory training certifications and provide 60-day notices to staff regarding mandatory trainings.
Assist staff to register for trainings.- Work collaboratively with team members demonstrating a positive and supportive attitude to all staff and participants both during interventions and activities as well as all other assigned duties throughout the day.
Be active within the program rooms throughout the day to ensure that scheduled curriculum, individualized behavioral plans, DHSPs, ISPs, feeding protocols and other health and safety related protocols are being implemented.
Ensure staff are documenting interventions on a daily basis, including all incidents.
Assist with personal care activities, interventions, and transitional services when needed.
- Lead regularly scheduled team meetings, offering open forums for staff to express ideas.
Disseminate all programming schedules and curriculum training at team meetings.
Be an active participant at all scheduled management meetings.- Provide physical site management including communication with Facilities Manager to ensure a safe and well-maintained facility.
Monitor rooms for safe practices and adhere to all safety procedures, including food safety and storage.
Ensure appropriate inventory, use, storage, and maintenance of participants¿ adaptive equipment and supplies.- Ensure that staffing requirements are met each day to implement programming and provide coverage.
- Oversee the DHSP/ISP process for assigned program participants in coordination with the Assistant Clinical Director of Day Services.
Facilitate DHSP/ISP meetings and secure all necessary consents.- Fulfill role and requirements as a mandated reporter.- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Day Services.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience- Bachelor¿s degree in Human Services or business preferred.- Three to five years of related experience working with individuals with disabilities.- An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.- Candidates with DDS and Medicaid regulation experience as well as CARF Accreditation and survey and certification process experience preferred.- Previous experience managing/working in a unionized workplace highly desirable.- Must maintain valid Driver¿s license and clean driving record.Link to full job description:
