Our new Dalton Building for Science and Engineering offers a state-of-the-art environment that supports pioneering innovations, techniques and applications.
Our research strengths include: cyber security that protects the world's networked computer systems from attack; applying AI techniques for new ways of automating the assessment of medical images; robotics and sensing; and using computational fluid dynamics to solve major engineering challenges linked to the impact of waves on coastlines, structures and renewable energy sources.

About you As an inspiring and driven researcher, you are full of ideas and excited about having the scope and support to build on them.
With in-depth understanding of your subject, we would expect you to be building an international reputation as a thought leader in your field.We are looking for a sustained track record of delivering high quality research outputs and securing external funding of significant value.
You will ideally have a PhD and must also have made significant contributions in academic leadership.
