Production Technician

My Defence industry client is looking for production technicians for several key positions within their Bristol offices.
This is a hybrid working position.

Overview : Follow defined processes and procedures to assemble, inspect, test, strip, survey, repair products in the company's product range.
Work efficiently to ensure that tasks are executed accurately to meet the requirements and specifications of the product, whilst also meeting production targets.Work in accordance with company Policies, Process and Procedures, including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Security requirements.
Key Accountabilities: - Responsible for assembling, inspecting and testing products to ensure they meet specifications in accordance with defined procedures and processes including the reporting of any issues encountered.
- Responsible for disassembly, survey, inspection, documenting and repairing of products.
- Complete training to achieve necessary knowledge and approvals to perform the tasks.Where permitted to do so, train others and provide help and support.
- Read, interpret and follow the technical engineering documents required to complete tasks.
- Follow instructions & documentation precisely.Adhere to industry standards, regulations and company processes.Report issues when compliance cannot be achieved.
- Keep the workplace clean and effective and ensure a safe working environment.Follow processes to ensure the effective management of FOD (Foreign Object Debris), Tool Control, Electrostatic Discharge, Security of Assets etc.
- Work to ensure the most effective use of labour to manage the workload and conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
- Participate in health & safety training as required and perform health & safety roles as needed (e.g.
fire marshal, etc).Take responsibility for own Health and Safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.Co-operate with managers and supervisors to enable the company to meet is Health, Safety and Environmental obligations.
- Highlight and identify any issues and engage in structured problem-solving activities to identify root causes and solutions.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and efficiency.
- Follow procedures to perform preventive maintenance and/or calibration tasks, reporting any issues found.
- Maintain records of assembly processes, tests and inspections performed, along with any issues encountered using the company systems to ensure accurate reporting.
