As a Production Team Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that information received is communicated to the appropriate parties in a timely, effective manner developing and sustaining effective customer relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will direct a productive, results driven team ensuring that all compliance standards are met.Who you will deal with:Internal: Senior Manager, Team Managers, Shift Leaders, Bond and Flight employees, other units, Central Services Team at Manchester, support functions, Operations Manager/ Flight Services/ General Manager.External: Airlines, HMC&E, DFT, auditors, contractors, EHOWhat you'll be doing:Ensure work is completed according to daily work schedules and all costs are within agreed targetsManage the roster effectively on a shift basis to ensure the work schedule is maintained whilst being mindful of costsReport Daily and Weekly Daily Hours via KronosResponsible for ensuring that team members carry out duties in line with work scheduleMonitor work, highlight and escalate any issues accordinglyEnsure the work schedule is maintained by shift, taking effective corrective action as required highlighting any on-going issues to the appropriate Shift Leader/ Team ManagerEnsure standards of external and internal customer service are metDeal with all issues or customer requests in a timely manner, escalating matters which cannot be resolved to the appropriate managerAdhere to all Legislation, Company Policy and Customer Requirements ensuring team members follow agreed proceduresAdhere to security regulations and ensure security instructions and procedures are followed at all timesEnsure familiarity with all Fire Procedures within the unit as instructed through fire trainingEnsure HACCP Food and Personal Hygiene Procedures are adhered to at all timesCarry out Daily Compliance Checks and communicate any issues appropriately Ensure housekeeping activities are undertaken by team membersEnsure staff adhere to Safe Working Practices at all times including:Ensure training needs are identified and highlighted to the relevant Shift Leader/ Team ManagerEnsure effective handover with colleagues to ensure any issues are dealt with effectivelyUse of Personal Protective EquipmentCorrect Manual Handling techniquesUse of equipment Take the appropriate action in the event of a non-conformance issue and clearly communicate issues and concerns to the appropriate Team Manager on shiftCarry out daily, weekly team briefings ensuring that any issues raised are communicated to your managerThis list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary dependant on locality or role complexity and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager.What you will have:Excellent people management skillsExperience of dealing with performance issues, grievances, holidays and absence managementBe competent using IT Skills; Microsoft Outlook, Wordand ExcelAbility to plan, organise and delegateHigh attention to detail and accuracy, must be methodical, and logical in their approach to workAbility to solve problems quickly using own initiativeEnthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive and persuasivePossess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and written, with experience of professionally liaising with colleagues, managers and external customersPossess an understanding of health and safety regulations in relation to operationsPossess an understanding of Food Hygiene in relation to operations Understanding of Operational Management SystemsMust be methodical, and logical in their approach to work IOSH Working Safely certificate Possess an understanding of Airline Security knowledge What is Special about the role:The main focus of the role of Team Manager is to effectively organise resources to deliver the required activity each shift.
Direction and guidance is easily accessible via the line manager.
No direct budget management but requires people management on a shift-by-shift basis.
Decision making is based on previous experience working within standard parameters highlighting any concerns to be addressed by a manager.
Will be required to interact with the team, colleagues from other process areas, auditors, Suppliers and customers
