Production Team Leader

Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting a Production Team Leader , to join a well-established company located in North Walsham.
Role  As a Team Leader you will provide day to day management support to your team to ensure that they meet their objectives.
You will lead the Manufacturing team to ensure the daily production plan is met safely, to the required line efficiency, product quality, and hygiene standards.
You will lead your team through daily team briefings, on line coaching, solve work problems and participate in the work of the team.
You will be responsible for shift performance and KPI's. Prepare reports and maintain records, and any other administrative information as required.  You will conduct daily interval control board reviews.
Ensure site hygiene requirements are met and maintained at all times.
Training and development is a key area of the role both identifying high performers and managing performance of the team.
Clear timely communication is essential to meeting the objectives of the role.
You will provide support and expertise to all departments with a view to maximising performance, as well as any other duties as instructed by senior management and provide stand-in cover for your manager during their absence.  Line Leaders will work to high, demanding standards.
They will be responsible to mentor and develop their team members and ensure safe and cost-effective practices are adopted.  Produce product Safely and to the required standards of Quality, Hygiene and efficiency.
Organise available resources to maximise production output at start of the shift.
Ensure that all work undertaken is carried out to the standard required by Production Management, that all appropriate safety legislation is observed and report any potentially unsafe working methods, installations, or equipment.  Record and communicate hazards, risks and near misses.
Take responsibility for performance and decisions and challenge constructively existing ideas and practices.
Take responsibility for Optical sorting checks and settings are carry out properly, start of the week checks Give feedback to your direct Manager on any downtime bigger than 15 minutes  Ensure sufficient skill levels within their team to be able to run efficiently, training and gaps on training to be discussed with direct Manager Liaise with all other departments to ensure that production operates effectively and efficiently and to minimise any potential issues.
2 Hour reviews at performance boards and ownership of efficiency issues.
Review performance trends and take action to close any gaps identified.
Hold regular team meetings and find solutions to issues raised.  Give constructive feedback in a way that drives performance and encourages commitment to achieving targets Facilitate your team's ability to meet KPI's. Ensure adherence to all business processes and procedures that actively drive improvements that eliminate waste in the processes.  Support Project implementations Show a willingness to assist in the development of Albert Bartlett and support other sites within the Albert Bartlett Company Essential Qualifications: Numeracy and literacy skills Basic IT Skills Food hygiene training to level 2 Desirable: Experience within and FMCG environment Food Manufacturing NVQ level2/3 Personal Attributes: Excellent organisational skills.
The ability to plan ahead.
The ability to lead Team members to meet site requirements.
Good team worker, Works to a high degree of accuracy.
Can work on own initiative and as part of a team, practical and pragmatic.

Respectful of work colleagues Working Hours and Pay  Rotating pattern of  week 1 days then next  week nights.  4x 12 hour shifts 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am Monday to Thursday each week £15.45ph   This is a permanent position to apply please send your CV
