It's within this successful team at Marley, that we're recruiting for a Production Team Leader to support the Operations Manager with the management and running of the site.
What's the mission?
In this role, you will ensure that all team members report a minimum of two Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) concerns, and that the root causes are addressed and closed using the SHEQ concerns process.
You will adopt a zero-tolerance approach to any breaches in safety standards, ensuring all pre-start checks, PPE use, lock-off procedures, and contractor activities within your department or shift comply with policies, procedures, and site controls.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to, both personally and by your team, embedding them into Marshalls' culture.
This includes managing safety and environmental incidents, complying with incident reporting requirements, and ensuring that your team is trained in risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which must always be available on-site.
Additionally, you will ensure that your team is available for routine health surveillance and foster an environment where team members feel comfortable reporting any potential health issues.
You will communicate Health, Safety, and Environmental updates from other areas of the site or business to your team.
You will also ensure that all relevant equipment undergoes the necessary statutory checks, that your team is appropriately trained for their roles, and you will complete a monthly Integrated Process Team (IPT) check in line with company policy.
What's the mission critical skills?
IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate and other relevant qualifications eg ILM, Lean/Six Sigma desirable.
Experience of operating in a medium / large manufacturing site with responsibility for a team of 10 or more employees.
Ideally some experience of leading operation teams A knowledge & understanding of OEE and TME.
Some experience of implementing continuous improvement / lean manufacturing techniques eg.
DMAIC, would be an advantage.
Experience of maximising the potential of others including development and performance management.
