Production Supervisor

My Walsall based Fabrication company are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.Duties:-Controlling and allocating resources (responsible for around 10/16 personnel) consisting of platers, fitters, welders, operatives and apprentices.Assist in control of consumables.Advice and Control of tooling / jigs & fixturesAchieving production targets / dates.Assist in Data / Time recording of hours.Maintain general cleanliness of areas in clean workshop.Liaise with QA / Contracts on welding methods.Planning, assigning, and directing production work.Maintaining organization and discipline.Monitoring health & safety in the workplace.Issuing work / jobs packages.Promote and monitor quality awareness.Promote teamwork and communication.Assist in maintaining security of the building and contents.Assist in training new starters / apprentices.Key Skills:-Ideally have worked as a Production SupervisorFabrication & Welding biasFamiliar with Nuclear fabrication work and clean non-ferrous workshop.Being able to read & interpret engineering drawings.Excellent man managementWorking on own initiativeCompany pensionFree parkingOn-site parking
