Production Shift Manager

One of our most exciting clients, a global pharmaceutical company who are going through a significant growth period are seeking a Production Shift Manager, to oversee manufacturing and packaging operations in their Hertfordshire-based site.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and high-quality production of oral solid dose products, aligned with company standards and production plans.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage production operations on your shift, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance objectives.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of production operators, while providing dotted-line oversight for engineers and warehouse staff.
Monitor and report key performance metrics, ensuring schedules are met, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Quality, Supply Chain, Technical, and Engineering to maintain seamless operations.
Ensure compliance with GMP, corporate standards, and health and safety regulations.
Investigate deviations, address customer complaints, and drive timely completion of CAPAs.
Contribute to budget development and manage procurement for consumables and equipment.
Support regulatory audits and represent the production department in internal and external meetings.
What We're Looking For Proven leadership and people management skills within a pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging environment.
Strong knowledge of GMP guidelines and industry standards.
