Production Scheduler

Salary: c£35-39k depending on experience, plus benefits Job Term : Permanent, Full Time, Onsite Job Outline: A leading developer of Optical devices is now looking for a Production Scheduler to join a manufacturing Team in Southampton.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for leading the planning activities, with the objective to ensure project and sales deadlines are achieved efficiently, on time and to budget.
Your responsibilities will include managing production tasks, managing the supply chain, production documentation, stock control and identifying ways to improve cost efficiencies.
To succeed in this role, you should have attention to detail, demonstrate initiative and enjoy working in a structured but adaptable manner.
Some general administration will be required as part of the role.
Experience and Qualifications: As the successful Production Scheduler, you should have experience in a manufacturing / precision engineering environment, where you have been responsible for planning and implementation of production schedules, managing supply chain, production documentation and stock control.
Your strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an ability to get on with stakeholders at all levels, will enable you to grow and further develop in this role.
Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with LEAN production methodologies and their implementation.
