Who are we looking for?
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Operative to join the Ashby site on the days shift.
In this role, you will carry out the day to day duties involved in the production assembly processes, and the labelling of intermediate and finished goods within the production departments.
What will you be doing?
Follow the instructions of the Production Supervisors of job allocation and rules on the use of the production equipment in order to satisfy the production schedule requirements.
Carry out all work in the Production Department as per the requirements defined by the process instructions and Quality department to ensure that product meets customer specifications.
Work in a safe and cost effective manner, in order to meet the required production levels and those of our customer requirements, and also adhering to the ISO Standards.
Undergo regular training on such topics as production operations of the departments, and health and safety.
Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, and the requirements as laid down in the Health and Safety Policy.
Immediately report any accidents or injuries involving production personnel and ensuring that appropriate first aid treatment is received.
Maintain good standards of housekeeping in the production areas.
Identify and, in consultation with the Production Supervisors/Team Leaders, initiate improvements in the manufacturing process in terms of quality, cost, and yield and production throughput.
Carry out any other duties as requested by the Production Supervisor/Team Leader to ensure the correct running of the production operations.
Who are You?
Experience in manufacturing/packing environment would be desirable, although full training will be given.
What competencies will you need?
Organised and methodical, with a high level of attention to detail Good housekeeping practices Positive communicator Ability to work on own initiative Team player Numerate Ability to understand written instructions Working hours and pattern 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.15 pm with a 30 minute lunch break, and Friday 7.30 am to 12 noon.
