Ensure a clean and tidy working environment using the 6S approach.Collaborate with Planning department to meet commercial demand, deliver agreed Manufactured On Time and In full (MOTIF) targets, optimise Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), optimise costs and fully utilise all staff.
Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all cells.
Coach and develop staff to build a highly flexible, adaptable and motivated team to respond to changing business needs and deliver company strategy.
Ensure that all staff are properly trained and appraised of performance.Manage holidays, absence and performance to ensure the effective running of the department, including front line disciplinary processes if requiredParticipate/Lead staff recruitment as necessaryAgreement and timely delivery of the targets across all cells according to the Manufacturing Improvement Plans.
Developing and implementing major and minor improvement projects in coordination with local resources, leveraging local and Group expertise to best advantage.Ongoing monitoring, reporting and optimisation of production fixed and variable costs.
Assure high levels of stock accuracy.Skills requiredEssentialProven management experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate others to meet deadlinesAbility to prioritise and work to tight deadlines under minimum supervision and guidanceExcellent communication and influencing skills at all levelsAnalytical skills to collect and interpret data in order to improve production processesThe ability to work in a logical and systematic manner with a structured approachKnowledge of Material requirements planning (MRP) systems and Microsoft Office DesirableFormal qualification in HSEUnderstanding of manufacturing batch operationsFormal qualifications in Production and Inventory Management and or in Operations Management.
Previous experience in construction chemicals industryUnderstanding and previous experience within ATEX/DSEAR regulationsEducational requirementsJob role notesNote: 37 working hours per week.
