We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager on behalf of our client based in North Hykeham, Lincoln.
Working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm Salary from £40,000 pa depending on experience.
The Production Manager will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the FMCG sector, with a proven ability to manage teams, optimize production lines, and implement best practices in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate daily production activities to ensure optimal production schedules, inventory levels, and delivery timelines.
Oversee production workflows, ensuring all targets are met within specified time frames and budgets.
Ensure production is aligned with company goals and objectives, and identify areas for process improvements to enhance productivity.
Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff.
Ensure adherence to product quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, HACCP, ISO).
Monitor production processes and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues or defects.
Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost control.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to optimize production workflows and reduce waste.
Lead initiatives to improve equipment uptime and reduce downtime through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting Address and mitigate any potential hazards in the workplace.
Provide regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as output, downtime, quality issues, and cost control The ideal candidate: Minimum 4 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
Proven track record in managing high-volume manufacturing processes and large teams.
Hands-on experience with production planning, quality control, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., HACCP, ISO, GMP).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
