The Production Manager role will enable the right candidate to make substantial contributions and noticeable changes to the production environment of a successful Aircraft Component company, established for over 60 years.
The Production Manager will form a key part of a core team of management within a small company, accountable for future growth and realisation of opportunities.ResponsibilitiesOverseeing manufacturing and production processes; Creating and executing daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.Determining production tooling and equipment needs and taking responsibility for its maintenance.Driving innovation throughout all elements of production.Consulting with suppliers on manufacturing projects; Implementing continuous improvement initiatives.Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.Implementing company procedures and policies.Communicating any problems or obstacles to top management and assisting with resolution.Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control and producing KPIs.Maintaining a training matrix for manufacturing employees and tracking progress of training.Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of applicable aerospace quality standards.Implementing and adhering to Health and Safety Requirements.RequirementsAble to work with initiative and without constant supervision.Desire to achieve and continuously improve systems and processes.Excellent attention to detail; Excellent verbal and written communication.Data analysis and statistical aptitude.Good interpersonal skills.Highly conscientious and diligent.Previous production management experience, minimum 2 years.
