Production & Fabric Assistant Experience: · Minimum of 3 years' experience in a production department.
· Highly organised & proactive.
· Someone who works well in a team environment.
· Confident communicator within a Head Office environment, and with overseas factories.
· Worked with garments and textiles, developing a strong eye for detail.
· Experience working under pressure & able to problem solve confidently.
· Must have competent Excel skills.
· Fashion related further education.
Role: · Working to assist the YMC Head of Production, you will be responsible for communicating with mills to collate fabric prices, minimums & lead times for sampling & bulk fabrics.
· Supporting design & Head of Production in sourcing alternative fabric qualities, as well as following up on CADs, lab dips & strike offs.
· Responsible for placing all fabric orders alongside HOP, as well as keeping fabric charts up-to-date, raising & sending PO's, chasing in shipping quotes, proforma invoices & approval submits.
· Following Critical Path dates closely, chase for regular updates from mills on fabric ex-mill dates.
· Gathering SMS planned sending dates from factories, keeping track of delivery dates in line with Critical Path, and organise delivered samples.
· Effectively communicating with factories to update them on all fabric statuses & planned ex-mill dates.
· Updating the proforma invoicing chart required by accounts to ensure payments made on time and checking & coding final invoices for HPM to approve.
· Keep on top of all fabric hangers & submits, ensuring they are in an organised manner.
· Update Zedonk with all new suppliers & raw materials for each new season.
· Manage fabric & trim stock charts.
· Support wider YMC team with tasks as required.
