We are looking for someone who is passionate about the nuts and bolts of production, and ready to learn and grow in a team environment. The Production Coordinator role will sit within the Production Department reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain. In this role, you will work closely with other departments such as Design, Product Development, Compliance, Merchandising, Wholesale, Marketing, Logistics and Warehouse Team to ensure cross-collaboration between all departments and stages of the product life cycle. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Maintain and update seasonal Critical Path with order details, product composition, sample status, lead time, shipping dates etc. Create and maintain seasonal and licensed trims guidelines. Collect and submit trims orders to nominated suppliers. Approve bulk fabrics/materials against approved swatch/ strike off/ lab dips, etc. Approve wash care label layout to global suppliers. Approve and Inspect TOP sample and feedback to suppliers before shipping. Work alongside Compliance Team to approve test report before releasing TOP approval. Analyse and approve the final inspection report before shipping. Chase up suppliers for photoshoot samples, TOP samples, PR samples, wholesale samples, licensed samples and submit sample invoices to Finance for payment. Ensure product packaging is sound and safe, and aligns with industry standards. Handle sample/trims invoices and credit/debit notes with the Finance team. Liaise with global suppliers and manufacturers on a daily basis and troubleshoot during weekly production meetings with suppliers. Work across multi-product categories primarily on lifestyle and licensed products. Attend and facilitate weekly video conference calls with key suppliers. Address production issues to relevant departments and support the team to resolve them. Assist the Compliance team to investigate non compliance product/ issues. Conduct new supplier onboarding sessions providing all necessary info to new suppliers. Build and maintain strong relationships across all areas of our supply chain. Coaching and training junior members, e.g. our Studio Assistant or Intern and assist with troubleshooting issues. WHO YOU ARE: Change Agent. YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES: At least 2 years experience either in buying or supplier roles within the fashion industry. Strong experience in Excel knowledge, including V lookup, etc. A product focused background. Experience working with global suppliers. A positive and "Can Do" attitude and an excellent communicator who is passionate about working as part of a global team. BONUS IF YOU: Hold a passion for the alternative fashion industry or a strong interest in KILLSTAR's products. Have experience working in multi-product categories such as Homeware, Kitchenware, Bath, Soft Furnishing, Toy and Licensed Products. Have experience of working as part of a global product team. WORK HOURS & LOCATION: This role will be based on a hybrid working basis between our Brighton Studio and remote working. 3 days work from office and 2 days remote.
This position is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week, with hours worked between 08:00 – 06:00pm, Monday through to Friday. This position can be worked on a hybrid basis, however the candidate must live in a commutable distance to Brighton.
