Product Owner

Key Responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end development of underwriting modules, ensuring that these features meet market demands and client requirements.
Translate underwriting needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and development tasks, prioritising based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact.
Stakeholder Management: Build trust with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including underwriters, product managers, and developers, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product goals and timelines.
Continuous Improvement: Actively seek feedback from users and clients to identify opportunities for enhancing underwriting modules.
Collaborate with development teams to iterate on the product, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
Technical Evaluation: Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate technical solutions and understand constraints.
Ensure product decisions align with the technical capabilities and limitations of the platform.
Roadmap Influence: Influence the short-term product roadmap by advocating for underwriting module improvements and client-driven enhancements that align with broader company objectives.
Qualifications Required Several years of experience in product management, preferably within insurtech, fintech, or specialty insurance sectors.
Strong understanding of underwriting processes in insurance, particularly in specialty lines.
Experience translating business and underwriting needs into technical requirements and user stories.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with development teams, underwriters, and business stakeholders.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and make decisions with incomplete information.
Self-motivated and able to operate with complete self-agency.
