Product Manager (LED & LCD Technology) Your New Role As a Product Manager in the Technical team within the Transformation & Operations Strategy department, you'll play a critical role in developing new digital products and improving existing ones.
You'll work across multiple teams and functions, from suppliers and internal stakeholders to operations, ensuring product development aligns with both commercial and operational goals.
This role requires a strong technical engineering (LCD & LED) background combined with a commercial mindset to drive the success of new product initiatives, particularly in the outdoor and digital display spaces.
The Product Manager will be responsible for creating a comprehensive product roadmap, including involvement in procurement and supplier management for product development, prototyping, production, and ensuring on-time delivery.
Post-delivery, the role will collaborate with technology and engineering teams to ensure products meet specifications, with maintenance, spares, and warranties effectively managed.
A key aspect of the role is applying lessons learned to continuous improvement and future product development.
The position reports directly to the Technical Director - Product, working with stakeholders across executive teams, partnerships, commercial, finance, and legal functions.
Additionally, the role involves collaboration with transformation and delivery teams, technical engineering, and external partners in the supply chain, particularly in the audio-visual sector.
Occasional UK and international travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities Product Development: Lead the creation of new digital products (LCD/LED) for outdoor applications, from concept to final delivery.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with performance standards while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Lifecycle & Risk Management: Manage the full lifecycle of product development, addressing performance (MTBF, obsolescence) and mitigating risks to ensure successful project delivery.
Ensure maintenance and spare parts are effectively utilized.
Project Leadership: Deliver product development projects within defined programs and timelines by collaborating with internal and external teams.
Knowledge Library: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge repository of products used in outdoor advertising and monitor competitor activity.
Supply Chain Expertise: Build strong networks within the LED and LCD display supply chains, particularly in key manufacturing regions like Europe, China, Korea, and Taiwan.
Technical Specifications: Define and maintain product specifications in partnership with engineering and technology teams.
Product Design Language: Develop and refine design language for outdoor advertising displays in collaboration with engineering teams.
Innovation: Identify and assess new technologies impacting outdoor advertising, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Digital Strategy: Contribute to the strategy for integrating LCD and LED technologies, preparing for future developments in the sector.
Sustainability: Incorporate sustainability principles into product development and procurement processes.
