The Role We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Manager to drive the execution and delivery of our club's football technology platforms, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and the needs of key colleagues.
You'll play a critical role in managing the product lifecycle, coordinating with design, development, and data teams to deliver impactful solutions that enhance performance, coaching, and operational workflows.
This role will focus on translating stakeholder requirements into actionable product goals, managing the product backlog, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
Your day-to-day Manage the product lifecycle - you'll be entrusted to manage the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy defined by our Head of Product.
Own and maintain the product backlog - you will take pride in overseeing our product backlog, prioritizing features and tasks based on business value, stakeholder input, and team capacity.
Collaborate with colleagues across our club - you'll form and maintain impactful relationships with coaches, analysts, and a diverse range of wider colleagues to gather product requirements and feedback, translating their needs into actionable product goals.
Champion a user-first approach - you will partner with our design team to ensure user-centric design principles are applied to all features and platforms.
Partner with our data team - you'll unite with our data specialists to integrate insights and analytics into product development.
Ensure products are linked to our wider club aims - you will be crucial in ensuring that all product decisions align with our strategic goals and vision, as defined by our Head of Football Platforms.
Monitor and refine product performance - you'll continuously analyze and optimize product performance based on user feedback and data insights.
Keep abreast of industry developments - you will eagerly stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform product planning.
What we are looking for Proven experience in Product Management - you come with a track record of successfully delivering technology products in a collaborative environment and have a deep understanding of product management best practices.
Knowledge of the football industry - you're equipped with knowledge of football industry operations or a passion for football technology, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues in performance, coaching, recruitment, and analytics.
Proficiency in managing Agile workflows - you've got experience with sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and user story creation.
Excellent ability to work with cross-functional teams - you're proud of your history of partnering with developers, designers, and data professionals to deliver high-quality solutions.
Familiarity with product management tools - you've previously worked with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Microsoft Planner.
Exceptional communication skills - you're easily able to engage with both technical and non-technical colleagues and can translate complex stakeholder requirements into actionable product goals.
Strategic mindset - you thrive when aligning daily execution with long-term goals and organizational strategy.
Best-in-class leadership and organizational skills - you possess an innate ability to effectively coordinate and align cross-functional teams towards shared goals.
