Job Title: Product Manager Location:London - 3 days on site Overview We are looking for a Product Manager with a background in user experience , payment systems and API integrations.
You will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of our payment pages and managing APIs to ensure seamless transactions and third-party integrations.
Your work will play a key role in enhancing the user journey, ensuring secure and efficient payment processes, and improving overall product functionality.
Key Responsibilities Payment Page Development and Optimization - Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for payment pages, from initial concept to post-launch support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX/UI Designers, and QA) to develop user-friendly and secure payment flows.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS for payment security.
- Work with analytics teams to monitor payment page performance and conversion rates, driving data-driven decisions for improvement.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to payments, including transaction failures, fraud, and user experience problems.
UX/UI for Payment Journeys - Partner with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-centered payment flows.
- Conduct and analyze user research, A/B testing, and usability studies to understand pain points and optimize the customer payment experience.
- Ensure accessibility and responsiveness across devices (desktop, mobile, etc.).
- Drive consistency in design and experience across all payment-related touchpoints.
API Development and Management - Define requirements for API integrations related to payment gateways, third-party vendors, and internal systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain API specifications for payment processes.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of external partners and customers into the API ecosystem, providing clear documentation and support.
- Manage the API lifecycle, ensuring version control, security compliance, and scalability.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the APIs meet business requirements and are delivered on time.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with stakeholders in Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Support to deliver seamless payment experiences.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Act as the voice of the customer, championing user needs while balancing business goals and technical constraints.
Metrics and Reporting - Define and track key product metrics such as payment conversion rates, transaction success rates, and API usage.
- Regularly report on product performance to senior management, identifying areas for improvement.
- Leverage data to prioritize the product roadmap and drive continuous improvements.
Experience Product Management - 3-5 years of product management experience, ideally with a focus on payment systems or fintech products.
- Strong understanding of payment gateways, merchant accounts, and regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from conception to launch.
User Experience -Experience working with UX/UI design teams to create user-centered products, particularly in payment flows.
- Familiarity with UX research methodologies (e.g., A/B testing, user testing, heatmaps) and their application in improving conversion rates.
- Understanding of accessibility and responsive design best practices.
API Management - Hands-on experience defining and managing APIs, particularly related to payment systems.
- Strong technical understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth, and other relevant technologies.
- Ability to read technical documentation and work with engineering teams to implement API changes.
Communication and Collaboration - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
- Proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, finance, and support.
Preferred Experience - Experience in the fintech or e-commerce industry.
- Familiarity with international payment methods, currencies, and cross-border regulations.
- Knowledge of popular payment gateway providers - Experience with agile product development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
