Working closely with the Director, Product Innovation, and partnering with the Marketing and Operations teams, you will bring a balance of creativity, strong project management skills; commercial acumen and a passion for elevating gifting in a way that is undeniably of the brand.
If you are a product and gifting expert with a deep understanding of brand moments and gifting occasions, with experience of creating successful, innovative products, curated kits, and formulations, then this is an ideal role.
Responsibilities: Actively seek, synthesise, and share customer market insights; Gifting product, formulation, format, and packaging design trends; and innovation Support cross-functional teams with review of the existing Gift Kit, as well as highly giftable cross-category performance, making recommendations for what to improve, enhance, and reinforce Ensure a detailed understanding of channel requirements in consultation with channel leads (Retail, Online, Wholesale, and Distributor) Own product master data classification and PLC status for Gifting product portfolio Make fact-based recommendations for product range rationalisation and additions Support development of Brand Moments & Gifting Occasions training and communications for Product Consultants Review all relevant kit / product label copy, PDPs and press releases from a product curation and formula perspective, including review of artwork for all projects Partner with Marketing, Operations, and R&D to understand the impacts of reformulation on existing Gifting range; co-manage transition and communications and ensure consistency in revised claims and compliance Identify relevant existing claims to support new story / approach to existing formulations within Gifting / Kits Engage with R&D to identify future generation packaging and Gifting opportunities, formats, and materials and proactively share findings with cross-functional teams Drive and actively contribute to cross-functional ideation sessions for new Gifting opportunities, formats, and other needs, in line with category strategic frame Work with Director, Product Innovation to define and support the product portfolio in response to Brand Moments strategic frame Ensure feasibility and profitability; manage product design budgets and legal aspects of product development Work closely with Regulatory Affairs and R&D to understand global product compliance requirements Prepare comprehensive briefs on product contents and benefits and contributing to the delivery of compelling, brand aligned positioning and claims Support the launch of new products across other categories with relevant Gifting and Kit opportunities Partner with Marketing and DMI omni-channel leads on concept development and distribution alignment Collaborate with Marketing, Product Communications and R&D to identify relevant angles for Gifting product animation Experience & skills required: Regional and / or global experience in creating successful, innovative products, curated kits and formulations 'Hands-on' product development and Gifting experience, from ideation to execution International work experience for a global, multi-channel business Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies; driving positive engagement and innovative thinking, and leading from within the team Experience of working across multiple channels: retail, online, wholesale, and more Proven product concept development and briefing skills Deep understanding of global and regional market dynamics, customer preferences, product innovation, and trends forecasts Strong understanding of zone and market needs and nuances in relation to gifting, product preferences, and practices Strong project management experience within consumer goods and / or beauty industry Understanding of product development capabilities and needs across packaging, décor; and retro planning Scrupulous attention to detail Well-honed communication skills Proactive problem-solving capability Experience managing cost / budget, scope, schedule, and risk Degree qualification in business, science or marketing The nature of this role requires flexibility in working arrangements to accommodate work across multiple regions and time zones.
