As Product Director of the Recommendations Group, you'll own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the recommendation systems across our platform, enhancing user experience through personalised content. This role requires a deep understanding of recommendation algorithms, data analytics, and user behaviour to drive innovative solutions that align with business goals. You'll collaborate with cross-functional leaders, manage a team of product managers, and partner closely with engineering, data science, and design to deliver impactful, data-driven recommendation features.

What You'll DoDefine the recommendations product vision and strategy for the Recommendations Group, aligning with company objectives to optimise engagement and retention.Communicate and evangelise the Recommendations vision across the company.Manage and communicate with the leadership team to ensure full transparency and alignment on the strategy and required resources to deliver.Build and maintain a roadmap for recommendation features, balancing user needs with technical feasibility.Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.Partner with engineering, data science, machine learning and acquisition teams to deliver high-quality recommendations and improve marketplace performance.Establish and evangelise a culture of iterative ML-driven product development together with internal partners.Experience We Are Looking ForProven product experience delivering ML-driven recommender systems & two-sided marketplaces.Have led products across all stages of the product life cycle in a fast paced, high-growth environment, balancing short-term improvements and long-term strategic goals.Experience working with and educating cross-functional teams and stakeholders in data science, analytics, product management, design, and engineering.Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence stakeholders.8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.About YouYou're a strategic thinker with a passion for personalised user experiences.You have demonstrated expertise in leading data-driven product development.You have experience with recommendation systems, leveraging analytics to drive key decisions.You are knowledgeable and curious about modern data science approaches.You demonstrate clear vision and influence outcomes across various stakeholders.You inspire teams and work cross-functionally to bring innovative solutions to life.You're skilled at balancing user needs with business goals and thrive in fast-paced environments.You are deeply passionate about Bumble's brand vision and values: kindness, growth, respect, accountability, honesty, inclusivity and equality.
