Product Development Specialist/ Associate – Asset Management London, hybrid The client/ role: We are working exclusively with our client, a well-respected asset management business managing multi-asset, alternative assets, fixed income, and equity investments.
The Product Development Specialist's main responsibility is to support the Head of Product Development in all product-related activities.
This involves assisting in the design, creation, and development of products and funds for institutional clients, as well as contributing to the development and maintenance of the existing fund range.
The Specialist will also work on preparing the annual Assessment of Value, as well as producing the Product Lifecycle Analysis and conducting the Quarterly Pricing Review.
Primary responsibilities: Assisting the development of new products and production of business cases.
Research, development and implementation of all new products and product management.
Ensuring that the product range remains fit for purpose in terms of client expectations, client suitability, pricing, and profitability Ongoing product lifecycles and delivery of the Assessment of Value.
Ongoing product range management of UCITS and non-UCITS fund ranges to ensure existing funds are fit for purpose and remain optimal from a legal, operational, sales and marketing and a client perspective.
Regular formal product reviews for the Boards covering pricing, profitability and adhere to the underlying regulatory landscape.
Develop close working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Investment Communications and Operations.
Ensure new product developments comply with both internal and external regulations, are set up in a cost-effective way and that the correct message is delivered to the market.
Maintaining an up to date knowledge of market, competitor, and industry trends and regulation and assessing their impact on the existing fund range to encourage product innovation.
Support relationships with external product related strategic partnerships and providing technical support to product related enquiries from various areas of the business.
Required experience and skills: A good knowledge of the asset management industry and technical knowledge of investment products and fund structures.
Understanding of all potential target markets and their specific requirements from direct retail investors to institutional/discretionary investors Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills demonstrated by an ability to credibly liaise with senior management as well as developing good working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
Strong communication skills delivering messages, both written and verbally, in a clear and concise way.
Experience of FE Analytics, Morningstar, and other market analysis tools are desirable.
