They specialise in Electricity, Lighting and Hardware and sell into over 100 countries worldwide.
About The Role: Amplus Talent are looking for a detail focused Product Compliance Specialist to work within an extremely creative, e-commerce orientated Product function.
Are you a proven Product Specialist, with previous experience in conducting research and analysis of regulatory requirements in global target markets?
Do you have experience in the identification of relevant Product standards, labelling requirements, testing protocols and registration procedures?
The successful Product Compliance Specialist will provide 360 support to the Commercial Compliance Manager and the rest of the wider Product team.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include: Supporting the Commercial Compliance Manager with the compilation of business requirements for new Product markets and ensuring solutions to mitigate risk.
Assisting in the identification of the relevant testing and certification processes for penetrating various markets on a global scale.
This may involve working with accredited laboratories and certification bodies.
Maintaining an astute commercial awareness of compliance regulations within new and existing markets.
Regularly assessing and updating as necessary, all testing packages through approved 3rd parties.
Assisting in maintaining the Company's Global Compliance Matrix, ensuring that it's cleansed and up to date.
Supporting the Compliance Team with ensuring that all regulatory documents, technical files and product labels are adhering to the varying requirements of each Product market.
Liaising with the Product Development team, to ensure that all compliance certificates are issued in line with the Company critical path.
Supporting with the analysis of regulatory changes and updates across global markets.
About You: A minimum of 1-2 years working in a Product Compliance role.
A solid understanding of the relevant global product certifications required for electrical products including CE, UKCA, UL, ETL, CSA, RCM, country-specific deviations, safety and/or RoHS compliance schemes and other regulatory compliance laws for global market access.
Experience understanding and advising on global Product market access requirements for a number of different territories.
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.
Exceptional listening skills.
Experience managing LVD, EMC, RED, RoHS and other directives.
An ability to act and respond quickly to both manufacturer enquiries at product development stage, and regulator queries during both the initial research phase and type approval review process.
A good working knowledge of international and industry standard safety regulations.
A keen eye for detail, with an analytical mindset to be able to interpret complex information.
Experience using 3rd party compliance institutions.
A team player that is passionate about working alongside others and doing the right thing by the rest of the team.
A problem solver that can challenge and find quick resolutions to potential issues.
Experience working with lighting, lighting controls, AC power outlets, DC voltage chargers, or other consumer electronic products would be beneficial.
A sound knowledge of switches, dimmers, sockets, power outlets and luminaires would be beneficial.
