Procurement Specialist

Are you a highly experienced procurement professional looking for a new challenge?
Our client, a reputable organisation in the public sector, is seeking a dynamic and skilled Procurement Specialist to join their team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make professional recommendations that will shape critical strategic decisions, with projects having budgets exceeding £1m.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to utilise your expertise and play a key role in the organisation's ongoing growth and success.
Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with due process and legal obligations.
Assess and evaluate requirements, develop evaluation schemes, and award contracts.
Ensure value-for-money and adherence to standards of transparency, probity, propriety, and control.
Provide support and expertise to project managers, handling contractual and procurement aspects of projects.
Drive continuous improvement of commercial terms, conditions, policies, and service level agreements.
Mentor and support other procurement professionals.
Requirements: MCIPS professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
Extensive experience in commercial and public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of business issues.
Proven track record in negotiating and managing contracts, with knowledge of contract law.
Familiarity with EU procurement legislation/regulations and modern contract forms.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, while meeting deadlines.
Excellent organisational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
