Procurement Specialist

Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Procurement Specialist on behalf of The CNC (The Civil Nuclear Constabulary).
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.
The salary is up to £46,849 plus £2,000 South East Allowance.
You would be based in Culham, Oxfordshire.
This post is hybrid.
Please note, due to criteria, you must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years continuously.
You will also require to go through CNC Vetting before you can start this role.
The purpose of the department: Ensure that all non-payroll spend is compliant with all statutory, regulatory and Government requirements whilst meeting the demonstrated needs of the CNPA.
The purpose of the role: Make professional recommendations that will be relied on by the organisation to make important strategic and contractual decisions affecting projects with lifetime budgets exceeding £1m.
Principal Accountabilities: Professional management, end-to-end, of key tenders to ensure compliance with due process.
This will include scoping requirements, production of evaluation schemes, evaluating tender returns and award of contracts.
Oversee this work undertaken by other procurement professionals.
Ensure that non-pay/salary related spend satisfies the Government's requirement of Value-for-Money and meets the appropriate standards in terms of openness, probity, propriety, and control.
