Procurement Specialist

Consortium have teamed up with a highly successful and long standing business who are looking to add a Procurement Specialist to their team.
Responsible for developing and establishing robust relationships with suppliers you will play a key part in maximising profit margins, product selection, stock availability, and operational processes.

About the role As the Procurement Specialist you will be expected to perform the following duties:
Manage current and prospective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Collaborate with the Head of Procurement to refine and develop the existing buying strategy.
Work closely with the sales team to align the buying strategy with customer needs.
Monitor pricing and negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal prices and service levels are achieved Ensure suppliers adhere to contractual obligations.
Maintain visibility of agreed KPIs and monitor their consistency throughout the year.
Ensure accurate forecasting and analyse trends About you To succeed as the Procurement Specialist, you will need the following attributes:
Background in distribution, wholesale or FMCG is desirable Experience in procurement and commercial strategy Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external Effective negotiation skills and ability to set SLAs Advanced forecasting abilities and the ability to analyse market trends Capable of creating impactful presentations for internal use and external supplier meetings Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
