Procurement Specialist - £40,000 per annum - Remote with occasional travel We have partnered with a public sector client seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the procurement process specifically in public sector procurement and the regulations surrounding this.
Key deliverables Supporting the procurement lead in championing best procurement practices Work with senior stakeholders to understand issues with the current process to drive continuous improvement Ensure the business is complying with UK legislation and internal policies Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement decisions, ensuring that all sourcing activities deliver the best value and align with organisational goals Provide training to key stakeholders on PCR 2015 principles, procurement best practices, and new processes Person Spec Proven commercial experience of the Public Procurement Regulations Comfortable with ambiguity and change Experience in end-to-end procurement Clear communication with the ability to raise the procurement functions profile internally Ideally, a candidate will have 1 year of experience in a Public Sector environment Outstanding administrative experience Level 4 CIPs qualified or willing to work towards this (paid for by the business) Executive Network Group is acting as an employment agency for this vacancy.
