London6 month contract, full time £450 a day - Umbrella rateThe successful candidate will:Lead procurement actions to deliver against category strategiesLead category – specific RFx to enable global / regional / local execution efficiencyDrive contract negotiation resultsConduct spot buying and ad hoc business requests and executes strategic sourcing eventsIdentify opportunities to reduce tail spend by driving more strategic sourcing eventsDeliver excellent client service experienceQualifications:Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business, similar field or equivalent experienceCIPS (or equivalent), or working towards would be desirable but not essentialSkills:Strong interpersonal skills to drive coordination between legal and business stakeholders for contract completion Strong understanding of Source- to-Contract processes.Strong knowledge of standard buying processes.Strong knowledge of contract negotiation processes.Relationships building, influencing, and collaboration skills Strong understanding of Source-to-Contract processes Project management and execution.Desired Experiences:Understanding of facilities operations and real estate construction projectsDemonstrated sourcing and contract negotiation experience; has led and managed complex sourcing projects, negotiated contracts focused on TCO, not just priceUnderstands negotiation process and priorities - managing risk and not just price - other value-added opportunitiesDemonstrated focus on total value and mitigating riskSomeone who demonstrates limiting liability/risk while creating both monetary and non-monetary valueUnderstands procurement and supply chain performance management processesExperience establishing robust & detailed scope of work documents, KPIs and SLAs with stakeholders to ensure expectations of supplier are clear and documentedGlobal experience is preferred; while majority of work will be focused on EMEA, it is valuable to have experience working collaboratively on a global levelExperience leading initiatives virtually and/or working remotely is desired
