The role will offer a hybrid working model and be based out of either the Manchester, Northampton, Glasgow or Knutsford office 2 days per week.
The Role: The Sourcing Manager is responsible for owning a portfolio of sourcing deals (new contracts, renewals, extensions, orders) of varying value levels, risk levels depending on the level of the role.
You will be providing sourcing and category execution support for the marketing category.
In this category they negotiate almost all marketing contracts in the bank - it's a broad category they have there which covers the whole breadth of marketing.
Key Responsibilities: Negotiating contracts on behalf of the bank Engaging with business stakeholders to understand the demand, requirements and support the best commercial outcome Agreeing the sourcing approach with the category lead (e.g.
RFX process, single source renewal/negotiation) aligned to the category strategy Execution of the process, following processes and controls through to contract signature and hand over to the supplier manager Additional work on category planning (e.g.
renewals pipeline development, spend analysis) may be required to support the category manager Key skills & Qualifications: Experience of end to end Sourcing process ideally in the Financial Services / Banking or Pharmaceuticals, as you'll need to be experienced in a regulated environment for the marketing category.
Marketing experience - and be able to understand complexities, nuances Marketing commercial models Experience of the commercial construct Tendering experience; carrying out commercial and legal negotiations, and be able to run market reviews like RFIs or RFPs / tender process You will have previously worked with C-suite Governance experience Structured approach to planning and execution ensuring key stakeholders and procurement colleagues are appraised of progress, plans and blockers Ability to work at pace with but with control at the front of mind Comfortable operating in complex matrixed environments Must have experience of working in big organisations Experience of high value contracts - the smallest is £2 million a year, and £40-100 million a year is the largest.
