Milk is a leading brand and design engagement company dedicated to creating impactful experiences for our clients through innovative design and expertly sourced materials.
We are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to support the Procurement & Logistics Director in managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality materials for client projects.
This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional excited to contribute within a fast-paced creative environment.
The Procurement Coordinator will assist the Procurement & Logistics Director by managing procurement activities related to marketing goods, including print and production materials.
This role involves sourcing products from domestic and international markets, negotiating with suppliers, and coordinating logistics to ensure timely delivery.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, adept at multitasking, and effective in maintaining strong supplier relationships to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Procurement and Project Management: Manage the complete procurement and project management process for marketing-related goods, including print and production materials, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Domestic and International Sourcing: Source products from both domestic and international markets, with a strong focus on suppliers from China, optimising cost and quality.
Supplier Relationship Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable, cost-effective sourcing of materials.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and oversee logistics for shipments via sea and air freight, ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project timelines.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including account managers and design teams, to understand sourcing needs and ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets.
Inventory and Quality Assurance: Assist in receiving and inspecting materials to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of orders, supplier communications, and project expenses; provide regular updates to the Procurement & Logistics Director.
Key Qualifications: Experience in the marketing or print production industries.
International Sourcing Expertise: Knowledge of sourcing from international markets, particularly China, with experience in navigating complex supply chains.
Logistics Coordination Skills: Experience coordinating shipments and logistics for both sea and air freight, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Analytical mindset with a focus on optimising costs, improving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Organisational Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Sustainable Sourcing Practices: Familiarity with eco-friendly materials and sustainable sourcing is a plus.
Location: This role will be based in our Manchester Office.
You must live in a close and commutable area to Manchester.
