Procurement Assistant £27,000 - £30,000 Location: Medway Huntress Recruitment is thrilled to advertise an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Assistant to join our client's team in Medway.
This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual looking to build their career in procurement.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the sourcing and procurement of goods and services to support project and operational needs.
Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to procurement policies.
Maintain supplier records, update procurement databases, and monitor inventory levels.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors, negotiating prices and tracking order status to ensure timely delivery.
Support the Procurement Manager with administrative tasks and data analysis to improve purchasing efficiency.
Address and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or supplier performance.Requirements: Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with procurement software is beneficial.
