Purpose: Accountability for ensuring that the process/production team conforms to all required compliance requirements.
Assist the Site Leader in setting the Invergordon Sites' budget and the site KPI's; day to day responsibility for monitoring such and ensuring that necessary corrective actions are in place and budget/maintenance/process targets are met or exceeded. Data collation and assessment of trends are fundamental to driving a data led decision making culture.
Operations/Production: • Day to day responsibility for meeting or exceeding daily/weekly/monthly production targets.
Report these on a daily basis while hosting the daily production meeting. • Assist Site Leader with the setting of site budget/KPI's for areas of responsibility and ensure corrective actions in place where required to achieve or exceed budget/target. • Ensure KPI's for each area of responsibility are documented, understood and are met or exceeded on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to ensure that the annual site budget is met or exceeded. Review as required and take action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
• Liaise with key distillery partners to ensure efficient and accurate data transfer as well as collaborating on any issues raised. • Liaise with the technical team and adjust process parameters when required to ensure healthy plant. • Work with the engineering team to implement new installations and to fault find process issues. • Ensure adequate process logs and data collation (including downtime reporting) to allow timely and accurate data collection allowing data led decision making.
• Ensure completion of all shift tasks by process operators as per requirements. • Carry out analysis of operational data to identify trends.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal support functions as required to ensure required supply of feedstocks to site.
Issue feed and chemical addition plans to prevent feedstock backlogs whilst maintaining healthy digestion. • Ensure timely and accurate completion of GHub for site.
• Provide a monthly summary report of Process performance, on time each month and as requested by Site Leader. Report as a minimum on Compliance, Quality, Volume/Yield, Costs, People, any other KPI's, Risks/Opportunities, AOB.
• Manage operational activities and small projects where required. • Complete assigned actions from the Site Action Log in a timely manner and report progression at regular intervals. • Manage hauliers to ensure to adherence to delivery plan and that process changes are communicated. • For all scheduled shut down periods ensure involvement in planning process and clear communication of work scope between Site Leader, Maintenance Team Leader and wider team.
Compliance: Safety, Health, Environment & Quality: • Leading by example, promote a culture within your team where safe working practices are strictly followed to ensure compliance with all legal and internal requirements. • Support Site Leader with the implementation of Company-wide safety recommendations across the site to drive a culture within the site of 'Don't Walk By' (DWB), Work Safe/Home Safe. • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments for all key tasks and by auditing be confident these are being followed to ensure safe systems of work. • Actively encourage the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions for all personnel and visitors on site.
• Plan and manage contractors on site to ensure safe systems of work are adhered to.
• Ensure relevant operational tasks comply with PAS110 are carried out (where applicable) and ensure long sea outfall discharges meet local consent conditions (where applicable).
• Assist with third party audits as required.
People Management & Development: • Ensure that the process team are trained and competent to carry out their roles & tasks.
• Identify and ensure completion of required training & development where needed, at the appropriate level, ensuring training records are maintained. • Develop and implement training plan for new process operators. Actively assist where required with training of new employees. • Ensure the site process team is supplied with necessary resources to complete their role safely.
• Lead and manage direct reports, ensuring PDP's are in place and completed as per Company process.
• Ensure good or exceptional performance within team is highlighted and recognised and that development plans are put in place and actioned where performance could be improved. • Lead appropriate team meetings to ensure team understand requirements and site performance.
Continuous Improvement: • Ensure that opportunities for continuous Improvement for systems and processes are identified and implemented for your areas of responsibility.
Other: • Competent in operating the plant and able to operate plant as required in abnormal/emergency situations.
Complete training shifts as required to maintain competency.
• Able to assist hands on with maintenance tasks as required. • Carry out relevant site admin tasks e.g.
PO's, agility, G:Hub, ordering, etc • Be part of the on-call structure for the site.
• Gather data for and write Capital Expenditure Requests for the site.
