We are delighted to partner with a global manufacturing company on an exciting opportunity for a Process Safety Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and integrity of industrial chemical processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preventing incidents such as fires, explosions, toxic releases and equipment failures by identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks associated with manufacturing, chemical and physical processes.
This role requires technical expertise, regulatory knowledge and risk management skills to develop safety strategies, assess potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Core Responsibilities: Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification (e.g., PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, FMEA, DSEAR) Safety System Design and Implementation (e.g., SIS, emergency relief systems, flare systems, hazard mitigation) Regulatory Compliance (e.g., OSHA PSM, COMAH, ISO 45001, RCA, audits and inspections) Process Safety Management (e.g., PSM development and review, MOC, PSSR, emergency response planning) Ethical Accountability (e.g., codes of practice, policies, procedures and escalation protocols) What Were Looking For: Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Proven experience in process safety within the pharmaceutical, oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical industries Strong knowledge of process hazard analysis techniques, safety engineering principles and regulatory frameworks such as OSHA PSM, EPA RMP and ISO standards Expertise in process design, pressure relief systems and emergency shutdown systems Familiarity with safety instrumentation and automation (e.g., SIS, SIL) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail If youre an experienced Process Safety Engineer looking to join an agile, collaborative, resourceful and customer-focused team, hit Apply Now to register your interest and learn more.
